I’m new to this, where should I start?

Welcome! You’re going to love moving your body, quieting your mind and soothing your soul at Tamworth Yoga and Wellness.

We recommend starting with our dedicated, small group beginners classes. These are held on Wednesday at 7:15pm and Saturday morning at 10am. You’ll also love yin, it’s super slow, juicy and meditative. The ultimate chill out session. Yin is on our schedule multiple times a week, so you can always find one that works for you.

What should I wear to class?

Whatever you feel most comfortable moving in! You don’t need fancy active wear to participate. However, things with buckles, buttons, and/or zippers, or tops that fall over your head when you bend down can be annoying.

What should I bring to class?

Just your wonderful self + a water bottle. We provide all mats and props. You are welcome to bring your own if you prefer.

I’m running late, can I still join?

Yes - if there is still a space in class. Some of our classes book out, and we may give your spot to a standby student if you are not here 5 minutes before class starts.

I’m working with an injury, can you help?

If you’re working with an injury please let your teacher know before class. They will be able to assist you, and ofter suitable alternatives to help you move pain free in class.

I’m pregnant, can I still join?

Yes! However, it’s important to let your teacher know you’re pregnant before you start class. If you’re new to yoga as well, we recommend starting with our yin yoga classes. If you’re a seasoned yogi, you’re welcome to attend any of our classes, however, please note several of our teachers have also completed extensive training in pregnancy yoga - and we think you’d love their classes. Check out our classes with Jolan Verwey and Felicity Doyle.

How do I book in?

We use MindBody for all of our bookings and membership packages. Head over to our PRICING or BOOKINGS page to book a class and set up an account. Then download the MINDBODY app to your class anywhere, anytime.

What’s your cancellation policy?

If you can’t make it to class please cancel as soon as possible. We have a 2 hour cancellation window. Cancellations made with less than two hours notice will forfeit your class.
